It is often said that wine is made in the vineyard. To make great wine,
the grower and winemaker have to work in harmony, or be one in the same.
This is why we only make wine from grapes we grow ourselves, from a vineyard
that we planted specifically to produce great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The results are wines both graceful and powerful in aromatics, fruit flavors,
acidity and texture.
2009 Pinot Noir
The biggest red wine we have made from our vineyard, it is a
deep, reddish purple, with a nose of red and black fruit, anise
and cassis. In the mouth it is rich and balanced with notes of
tobacco and leather. It has a tight structure with ample tannins
and acidity to allow bottle aging for five to ten years.

2009 Chardonnay
Tropical fruit with elements of Meyer lemon, white peaches,
and pineapple come forth in the nose of this very elegant 2009
Chardonnay. In the mouth these flavors are evident, along with
a bright acidity and the unctuous texture that is present in
all of our Chardonnays. The acidity should enable this wine to
age well for 10 or more years, rounding out the complex fruitiness
to a elegant finish.

2009 Unwooded Chardonnay
A wine that is just the essence of the grape itself, our Unwooded
Chardonnay has elements of pear and citrus on the nose, and follows
on the palate with Meyer lemon, cherimoya, white pepper, and
steel. This wine would benefit from at least five years of bottle
aging.

2008 Pinot Noir
This vintage is a "field blend" of clones 115 and 777. More
"fruit forward" than the previous two vintages, it benefits from
the complexity added by a second clone. Aromas of black cherry,
plum and anise come through a more restrained nose. Ample red
fruit flavors allow this wine to benefit from several years of
bottle aging.

2007 Pinot Noir
More delicate on the nose than the 2006, with dried cherries and
rose petals, this wine fills the mouth with flavors of pepper and
currant, and acidity to allow full development in the bottle over
many years. Earthy and complex, this is our second year of a single
Clone 777 Pinot Noir.

Competition in 2010. |

yet very graceful. The elegant finish lingers with a rich texture.
